It’s respiratory season! Protect yourself and your loved ones.

Immunizations protect people and communities by preventing the spread of disease.  As more people are immunized, the risk of disease for everyone is reduced.

Vaccines are safe and effective. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself and others.

RSV Vaccine

Starting October 5, 2026, adults aged 75 years and older can book an appointment by phone or online to receive an RSV vaccine. NL Health Services will offer vaccination clinics for this age group from October 13 to 18, 2026. Eligible adults can also get the RSV vaccine through participating pharmacists and physicians.

Public health is also reminding residents that RSV immunization is offered to babies aged six months and younger before discharge from the hospital post-partum, which provides them with the best protection against RSV. RSV vaccine is still available through NL Health Services to residents 60 years of age and older in senior congregate living settings.

Flu and COVID-19

Starting October 19, 2026, flu and COVID-19 vaccine is available to those six months of age and older.

Participating pharmacies throughout the province have access to RSV, flu and COVID-19 vaccine. Please contact your local pharmacy for availability.

Some primary care providers have access to RSV, flu and COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals with access to a primary care provider can contact them regarding vaccine availability.

Public Health vaccination clinics are available throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Homebound individuals Those who are unable to travel to a public flu clinic, pharmacy or physician’s office can arrange a home visit by calling 1-833-951-3884. This may include people who: Require medical transportation Have significant mobility limitations Face other barriers that prevent them from attending a community clinic. For example, the primary caregiver of an eligible homebound individual.
